There is a fire burning by our house. It is about 2 miles away, we are hoping they get it under control. It is pretty big and spreading fast...Here are some pictures I took.

Backyard and BBQ

Today we are having a BBQ to celebrate Bills birthday and also our grass in our backyard! We are having our friends the Jerue's from the ward and then afterwards we are going to their house for swimming!
We are so excited and Bill is very proud of what he has done with our yard. It still has a ways to go til we are all finished with it, we want to add some more bushes and flowers and outdoor furniture.

The Joys of Flying!

Well I left Norfolk,Va. on Tuesday night at about 7:30pm. My flight was scheduled to leave at 6:30pm. It was delayed due to weather in New york city out of Kennedy Airport. Well we finally landed in New York, and sat on the tarmac for 1 hour, before we could pull up to our gate. Now by this time my connecting flight was scheduled to take off. Well the Captain came over the speaker and told us, those of you connecting to Phoenix, your plane has been delayed and you will not miss your flight. Of coarse cheers came from everywhere! As we get into the airport, we look around for a place to grab something to eat...NO luck in sight, everything was closed for the night due to it being 10:00pm. Well the weather decided that I just needed to stay in New York for alot longer....anyways needles to say, my flight was suppose to be in at 11:26pm Tuesday night, but I didn't get here til 3:02 am Wednesday morning...and with all that my luggage is somewhere!!! (with all my clothes in it, even the garments) I have been wearing the same thing for 2 days now...nice! I talked to the airlines tonight and they still haven't found it! With all of this I am truly grateful to be home! (UPDATE) They found my luggage and is suppost to be delivering it today sometime...Yahoo!

Going Away Dinner

Bev and her family took me out for my going away dinner to Joe's Crab Shack. It was amazing if you like crab! I really enjoyed myself, I am going to miss being here, but am wanting to get home to my family...

Going to the Beach!

Got to go to Virginia beach yesturday. It's the first time I have ever been to the beach. It was really fun! The sand was like nothing I have ever seen, soft and smooth, not like sand we have in Arizona at like the Lakes.

Ferry Ride

Ok as most of you know I am not a water person...I get near water and get sea sick. Well Bev and 2 of her friends took me for a ladies day out. Which was really nice until I learned we were going on a ferry to Williamsburg, Va. YEAH!!! My tummy did about 50 million turns as we started out and I just looked at the ships side that we were riding on until we got to the other side. I was told it was a very beautiful ride...at least I didn't have to hang over the edge of the ship! I stayed inside the truck. After the ride on the ferry, we went to the Yankee Candle Factory and ladies if you like candles you'd love this place, they have every scent of candle you can think of...and they have a Christmas Village inside too. It was just amazing!

Virginia

I am here in Virginia visiting my best friend of 34 years, Bev. We have been doing a lot of site seeing and having a blast! I am putting some of the pictures of what we have done so far. It has really been good to see her. I went to church on Sunday, it is just down the street from her, and I was talking to the R.S. President and it ends up that I went to school with her younger sister at Westwood, small world!
